Shamrock Rovers big welcome home!

 

Hoops fans will get an opportunity to welcome Michael O'Neill and his team home to Tallaght Stadium on Monday the 15th of November. Having won the Airtrictiy League and reached the FAI Ford Cup Final supporters will have the chance to congratulate their team on such a fantastic season.

 

 

Prior to the Stadium event the players, coaches, directors and staff of Shamrock Rovers FC, will be honoured at a special Civic Reception being hosted  by the Mayor Eamonn Maloney and members of South Dublin County Council in County Hall.

Speaking about the Civic Reception, the Mayor stated:

“I am delighted as Mayor of South Dublin County Council  to honour Shamrock Rovers FC for their huge success this year in winning the Airtricity League, Premier Division 2010 and reaching the FAI Ford Cup Final.

 

Since March 2009, both the Council and Shamrock Rovers have been working hard together on initatives to develop and grow Tallaght Stadium, both for football and community purposes. This growing relationship will ultimately benefit the local community and enhance the sporting and recreational opportunites for the citizens of South Dublin County.

 

The Stadium will be open to the public from 5.30pm with the team expected to arrive at 6pm. Fans will be asked to congregate in the West Stand where Michael and his team will be presented to them.
